National event of NAFTSO

 

On November 7, 2013 at Boyana Residence NAFTSO held a national conference "Development of the regulatory framework for the private security services" under the patronage of the Minister of Interior.

The conference is a continuation of the dialogue during the successful workshop held on March 7 this year at Inter Expo Center Sofia.

 

The registered forum attended by 143 participants:

- 15 representatives of public institutions - National Assembly, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, National Agency for Vocational Education and Training, Sofia Municipality and the National Investigation Service;


- 17 representatives of educational organizations;

- 92 managers and employees in 61 private security companies from 14 cities in the country;

 

- 12 experts in the field of corporate security;

- 7 representatives of interested NGOs.

 

 

Ministry of Internal Affairs was represented by the Deputy Minister Jordan Gramov, who hailed the forum on behalf of the Ministry.

The participants in the conference received congratulatory letters from the Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Sofia Mayor, President of the National Agency for Vocational Education and Training and from the Rector of Varna Free University.

 

In the discussion (sometimes heated one) besides the dozen representatives from the private security sector, joined the Director of the Center for Prevention and Combating Corruption and Organized Crime, the General Secretary of EA "General Labour Inspectorate", the Rector of the Police Academy, the Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Union for Economic Initiative, Professors of the New Bulgarian University, Police Academy and Varna Free University.

 

After the conference 14 employees at PSCs were honored on behalve of NAFTSO Managing Board for professionalism in their work and for their contribution to the positive public image of the private security sector.

 

The events ended with a cocktail on the occasion the Day of the Guard and the Private security - 11th November.
